Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey Pour Homme Summer 2012

This one for me is tough to get on with.

The Yuzu in the opening shines as a refreshing shot of intense summer sun and the beach.
This blends with a saline feeling from the oceanic note the lasts for about an hour until it transitions to a more spiced water feeling which can be a little odd at times.
The cardamom sticks out like a sore thumb in the mid and base with the assistance of the rooty vetiver.
This was my first Issey Miyake fragrance after getting a great deal at Amazon.
I had to try it, and it was worth the try for the money, but the unrelenting cardamom/vetiver combination stops me from using this one over the more recent 2014 summer flanker.

The scent lasts about 6 hours on me.
Its not very versatile, more aimed at casual encounters in the summer, maybe late spring.

Overall, this is a respectable summer scent for those on a tight budget, but even at the price you can do better, even within the same house.

Summary

Another on in a long line of flankers from this brand.
Same aquatic theme, but a little extra squeal from this one. Avoid.
